HOMEWORK: write an email or letter

Instructions: Complete one of the three options below.

1)Write an email to your friend:
Ask your friend to go to the cinema on Saturday.
Tell them about the film you would like to see.
Say what time the film starts and when you should meet.

2) Write a letter to your friend telling him/her about your last holiday and invite them to come visit.

3) Write an email to your friend answering these questions:
How is the school year going so far?
What are your new teachers like?

How much homework do you get?

PRESENT SIMPLE AND PRESENT CONTINUOUS

PRESENT SIMPLE

You use PRESENT SIMPLE when you talk about ROUTINES.

For example: 

- I usually wear jeans

- I watch cartoons every day.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

You use PRESENT CONTINUOUS when you talk about things that are happening NOW.

For example: 

- I am wearing jeans at the moment.

- I am watching cartoons now.

REMEMBER!!

We always use PRESENT SIMPLE with stative verbs (for example: like, hate, know, want, etc.).

✅I like pizza	I am liking pizza
✅I know María	I am knowing María
